Take your point, but just because it's a cup final tactics suddenly can't go out the window. Pardew was playing it cagey for quite some time, he knew Manu had better players so didn't want to go toe to toe with them. Def think it was better than a lot of recent finals.

The best cup final this year was in Scotland, those Sweatys put on great entertainment, the post match recreation of the famous Wembley game in 1977 got a 9/10 from me……………

That's probably because they are bang average? Wasn't high on quality, true, but thought it was an even game, plenty of chances both ends, woodwork struck, plenty of yellow cards, and a sending off. It seems that some people sit down to watch a cup final and automatically expect a great game, but that rarely happens these days.

I watched the game with one of my brother in laws who's QPR I thought it was a piss poor final.Both teams looked bang average.
We fucked our chance right up but would have beaten either side easily if our players put in a shift like they have done for most of this season.

Once again another big game is decided by that extra quality that the bigger sides have. Seen it time and time again. Thought it was a decent final, certainly not crap as some thought it was.

First Cup Final I have watched in years and god it was crap. Sure the new Wembley is a better stadium but I yearn for the days gone by of :
Teams taking the long walk from the tunnel at the end of the pitch.
Band playing National Anthem rather than these awful high pitched singers.
The TV concentrating on lap of honours rather than boring punditry.
The 39 steps to the Royal Box rather than the ridiculous 107 they have now.
The Twin Towers.
